GENERAL WARDROBE TIPS:
Try to avoid bright, busy patterns like stripes or polka dots. Stick to solid colors and textures. Stick to colors that compliment your features, such as your eyes and hair. Generally you want to keep the outfits from matching your skin tone too closely. Bring at least 5-7 options of varying looks, colors, and necklines so we have plenty to choose from. It's better to have it and not need it.
Wear comfortable footwear. We will be doing lots of walking for our outdoor sessions. This goes especially for the ladies. If you would like to incorporate a few full body shots, bring them along so you can slip in and out of them after the shot.
FOR MY GUYS:
Guys, layers are your friend. A solid color top paired with a nice dark blazer looks very nice. Bring a variety of long and short sleeve shirts and necklines.
Be sure you are well groomed for your appointment. If you color your hair, be sure to have your roots touched up. It's a pain to fix grown out roots in post. Hold off on shaving until right before you leave. If we are shooting in the studio, you can bring your razor if you would like shots with and without your "scruff".
FOR MY LADIES:
Layering is generally not the best idea for women as it can add bulk, but a nice cardigan paired with a tank top works. Plan to do all facial waxing at least 3 days before your appointment to allow time for your skin to heal. Also, freshly waxed skin is extremely noticeable covered in makeup. If you color your hair, be sure to have your roots touched up. It's a pain to fix grown out roots in post.
Keep jewelry and accessories to a minimum. No distracting, dangly earrings or bangles.
